On Monday, 18th October 2021, Ineos, a petrochemicals manufacturing company based in the United Kingdom, has announced that, it is going to invest more than 2 billion euros in the production of the zero-carbon green hydrogen in the continent of Europe. The company ‘Ineos’ is also going to be investing in the emissions-free production, which are using the process of electrolysis, along with an electrical current that has been passing through the water along with the wind, solar or the hydro-electric power that has been providing the electricity.
Jim Ratcliffe, British billionaire and chairman of Ineos said that, the continent of Europe has been crying out for more investment in the green hydrogen, and this announcement from the company has been showing their determination for playing a leading role in the very important and new green hydrogen fuel.
During burning the hydrogen as a fuel, it emits just water vapour, and most of the gas had been made in a process that has been responsible in producing the harmless emissions, and the governments and the companies across the continent of Europe has been increasingly putting the emission free hydrogen at the centre of the efforts for the process of de-carbonizing the economic industries that are mostly relying on the fossil fuels for the needs of the energy.
The company ‘Ineos’ also said that, the investment of the company in the process of electrolysis is going to be the largest ever in the continent of Europe, along with building the facilities in the countries including Belgium, Germany, and Norway in the up-coming decade.
