Vertellus to Purchase Two Specialty Businesses from Chemtrade

Chemtrade announced that, it has now entered into a definitive partnership for the purpose of selling the company’s Potassium Chloride (KCl) and the vaccine Adjuvants businesses to Vertellus, a producer of specialty products for healthcare, food and agriculture, consumer goods, and industrial markets, and this transaction has also been expected to close during the 4^th quarter of 2021, and it has also been subjected to the customary closing conditions.

The company ‘Ventellus’ has been acquiring the businesses from the company ‘Chemtrade’, which produces the specialty ingredients that are essential in the efficacy of the medications for the diseases like diabetes and hypertension, along with the production of the next-generation biologics along with improving the effectiveness of the particular vaccines. The two businesses, that has been classified as the assets held for sale in the financial statements of Chemtrade, have been a part of the Water Solutions and Specialty Chemicals (WSSC) segment.

Scott Rook, CEO and president of Chemtrade said, these two are good businesses, that have also been benefitted from their recent capital investment, which has been expanded and upgraded both the plants, and as a strategic buyer, the company ‘Vertellus’ is going to be able to add the value and it is also going to be benefitting from the skilled teams at both the locations, and they are now confident that, Vertellus is going to be taking the strong platform, which they have built along with making the businesses even more stronger than the competitors.
