The company ‘Meyer Burger Technology’ has been planning a production facility for the purpose of high-performance solar modules in the United States, and the primary production capacity is going to be 400 megawatts per year, along with the potential for the expansion of the facility to several gigawatts of the capacity in the future.
This planned facility is going to be making it more possible for the purpose of producing the high-performance solar modules for the house roof segment, and also for the commercial roof systems along with the solar energy power plants, and the production is likely going to be into operation by the end of 2022, and this new plant has been expected to create around hundreds of skilled jobs.
This investment from the company has also been highlighting the intention of Meyer Burger Technology for the purpose of producing the modules as close as it will be possible to the company’s end customers, and also for purchasing the material from the regional suppliers and for continuously improving the sustainability of the products.
The company currently been in talks with several other states in the United States for the purpose of selecting the final location for the plant, and the process of selection should also be completed by the end of the year 2021.
The decision of the company for the expansion of its supply chain in the United States has been driven by a string domestic solar energy market along with the positive economic policy framework, and also the desire of the company for supporting the transformation of clean and green energy in the United States.
