The company ‘Octopus Energy’ announced, a major strategic partnership with the Generation Investment Management, a company founded in 2004 for the purpose of backing the business in driving the sustainability and the fight against the climate change, in a deal that has been valuing the entech pioneer of the United Kingdom at a pre-deal of 4 billion dollars and around 4.6 billion dollars of post-deal.
The agreement is going to see the long-term equity strategy of Generation Investment Management for the purpose taking a stake of around 13 percent in the business approximately, and the company ‘Octopus Energy’ is going to be using the proceedings of the strategic investment of Generation Investment Management for the purpose of boosting the mission of the company for driving the revolution of renewable energy across the globe.
Kraken, a platform of Octopus Technology, has already contracted for the purpose of delivering the outstanding the customer experience, along with the hyper efficient operations and more clean and smart energy solutions to the 17 million energy accounts across the globe, and through the own retail businesses of Octopus Energy in the United Kingdom, Germany, Spain, USA, and New Zealand, along with licensing the agreements with the companies like Hanwha Corporation, nPower, E.ON, Good Energy and Origin Energy.
