The company ‘Xlinks’ has launched the new plans for the purpose of exporting the clean electricity from Morocco to the United Kingdom through HVDC subsea cables, and the Morocco-United Kingdom Powe Project is going to be generating the electricity in the state of North Africa by using the wind and solar energy.
The facilities of the plans are going to be covering around 1,500 square kilometre, and this is going to be able for generating around 3.6 gigawatts of the energy in the region of Guelmim-Oued Noun, and in addition to the wind and solar energy facilities, the plan is going to be having a 20 GWh and 5 GW batter, which is going to be responsible for allowing it to continue the export of the electricity as almost constant source of power and energy.
Sir Dave Lewis, chief executive of Xlinks said, the plan is going to be using the proven technology for the purpose of delivering the power to over 7 million homes in the United Kingdom during this decade, and he also said that, the project is going to be harnessing the extremely reliable wind and solar energy in the region of Morocco for delivering the vital baseload power, that will be enabling and balancing their own ambitions of the offshore wind energy, along with reinforcing the renewable energy industry of Morocco.
Sir Dave Lewis said, working in the tandem along with the domestic renewables, it has been making a reliable and net zero electricity system by the year 2035, which has been much more possible in the United Kingdom.
