Verizon to Deliver 5G Services to 7 Air Forces Bases in US

The company ‘Verizon’ has been selected by the United States Department of Defense (DOE) for the purpose of delivering the company’s 5G mmWave mobility service to seven US Aur Force Reserve Command (AFRC) bases located on the regions such as California, Massachusetts, Florida, Ohio, New York, Texas and Pennsylvania.

This deployment of the service is going to be expanding the already robust 5G portfolio of Version with the federal government of the United States, specifically with the US Department of Defense. In the month of June, the company Verizon has secured a contract of 495 million dollars along with the Department of Defense for the purpose of delivering high-bandwidth, along with low-latency, and Layer 2 WAN services for the purpose of supporting the critical research.

This latest delivery is going to be including the c-band radios that have been installed outdoors at every facility, along with a mix of 4G and 5G mmWave frequency in some of the indoor locations, and the company has also stated that, these installations are going to be bringing the higher speeds along with the increased bandwidth and lower latency for the base personnel and also in the surrounding community.
