The new Renault 5 all-electric car will be making its public debut at the Munich motor show as it has been gearing up for a marker launch in the year 2024, and the car is going to be priced around 18,500 pounds.
This reviewed nameplate is going to be a part of a major new plan for the purpose of reviewing the fortunes of the French company and its is going to be sitting on the new CMF-BEV platform of Renault Group for the small electric cars.
Luca de Meo, head of Renault Group said, the use of the new platform and the revamped battery technology is going to be enabling the company for selling the Renault 5 for around 33 percent less than the current all-electric Zoe, that has been suggesting a target, which will be starting at the price for the car at around 18,500 pounds.
Now, the company has also confirmed that, the new Renault 5 is going to be using the new powertrain technology and the batteries that are based on nickel, manganese and cobalt, which the company says, is going to decrease the cost of the car dramatically per kWh to around 58 pounds by 2030, and Renault Group also added that, the new Renault 5 is going to have a range of around 400 kilometres.
The new Renault 5 prototype generally takes the design and styling cues from the predecessor of Renault Clio, which the company has produced between the year 1972 and 1996.
