BMW Launches New Sports Car Production in Mexico

On Thursday, 2nd September 2021, the automobile company ‘BMW’ has now opened a new production line for the company’s 2-series compact sports cars at the two-year-old factory of the company ‘BMW’ in the central region of Mexico, that is going to be responsible for doubling down on the company BMW’s operations in Mexico in a push for accelerating the global sales.

The launch of the new production line facility of the company is going to arrive in the showrooms of the United States in November 2021, along with the sales in the continent of Europe, that are set in the early phases of 2022, as said by BMW.

According to the company, the starting price of the company’s 2022 model is going to start at 37,345 dollars, that has also been including the transportation, and the company ‘BMW’ has also invested 125 million dollars in the new production line for the company’s factory based in region of San Luis Potosi, along with the expansion of the company’s capacity beyond the assembly of its initial 3-series sedan of the company.

The investment of the company in the region of Mexico has comes as the fears that, the demand for the high-end goods across the world can possibly slow down as the new and highly contagious novel corona virus variants, which is spreading, and the automobile industry has also been continuing to struggle with the shortage of the semiconductor chips.
