The company ‘BlackRock Real Assets’ has successfully acquired the National Renewable Solutions (NRS), an energy developer based in Minneapolis, US and the company is mainly focused on the early-stage development of the solar energy and wind energy projects in the United States.
The company ‘BlackRock’ has purchased around 100 percent of the equity in the NRS, along with a goal of owning, operation and development of the current project development of over 3.5 gigawatts of the company, along with the company’s assets in the regions including Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico and Colorado.
The company ‘NRS’ has so far developed more than 1 gigawatts of the renewable energy projects, which are currently operating and entering the construction of the project in 2021, and the company has been historically focusing on the pre-construction development of the wind energy projects on the utility-scale and also on the utility scale and distributed solar energy projects, which are primarily based in the western region of the United States.
Martin Torres, US head of BlackRock for the renewable power group said, they are thrilled for partnering with the National Renewable Solutions (NRS) on this opportunity and they are now looking forward for supporting the strong momentum of the growth of the company.
Patrick Pelstring, chief executive of National Renewable Solutions (NRS) said, they are very excited for partnering with the company ‘BlackRock Real Assets’ and he also said that, they have been collectively sharing in the vision for growing the production of the renewable energy along with the integral role of the company for fighting against the climate change.
