Biden Administration to Extend Mask Mandate for Transport Until January 2022

On Tuesday, 17^th August 2021, the Transportation Security Administration said, it is going to be extending a federal mask compulsion for the passengers traveling through bus, train and airline till 18^th January 2022.

The Face Mask Mandate, that has been issued in the early days after Joe Biden, President of the US have taken over the office, had been never relaxed, even when the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention of the United States have started telling the fully vaccinated people that, the face masks are no longer necessary.

The Transportation Security Administration said, the purpose of the face mask directive was made to decrease the spread of the novel corona virus on the public transportation, and with the Delta variant of the novel corona virus causing a new surge in the covid-19 cases, the US CDC has returned back to its eased guidance on the face masks as these mandatory rules have returned in several cities and school districts in the United States.

The transportation has been one of the areas, in which the federal government of the United States has taken the responsibility to impose such mandatory rules, and those who will violate these face mask mandates will be facing fines, and the rules are applied at the various train stations and airports across the United States as well as on the trains, buses and on planes, and the children, which are under 2 years of age and the people with several disabilities have been exempted from these mandates.
