LANXESS, a specialty chemicals company in US has successfully completed the second largest acquisition in the history of the company with the acquisition of the company Known as Emerald Kalama Chemical, and the specialty chemical producer had been majorly owned by the affiliated of the American Securities LLC., a private equity company in the US, and all the regulatory approvals have also been received.
The enterprise value of the company ‘Emerald Kalama Chemical had been 1.075 billion dollars, and after deducting the liabilities, the acquisition price had been approximately 1.04 billion dollars, which the company ‘LANXESS’ has financed from its existing liquidity.
Matthais Zachert, board of management chairman of LANXESS AG said, the company ‘Emerald Kalama Chemical’ is responsible for giving them another big boost on their growth path, and the new businesses have been an optimal strategic fit for them, and they are also strengthening their position in the markets along with several attractive growth rates and also opening some high-margin areas, specifically in the food and beverage industries and in the cosmetic and cleaning products.
Matthias Zachert also said, the company Emerald Kalama Chemical had perfectly been the backward integrated along with strengthening the value chain of LANXESS in the protection of its consumers, and this segment has been the most important engine on their way to for making the company ‘LANXESS’ more profitable and Stable, and a strong team has currently been working at a rapid speed for the purpose of ensuring a rapid integration.
