Pepsico Signed Agreement to Sell Juice Brands in Europe and North America

The company Pepsico Inc, has revealed, a 3.3-billion-dollar sale of the company’s Tropicana and several other brands of juice across the region of North America, and the company ‘Pepsico’ has also partnered with PAI, an equity firm of France, as Pepsico has been looking to simplify the product range of the company along with moving away from the drinks that contains high sugar.

Pepsico, that has purchased the orange juice producing company in 1998 for around 3.3-billion-dollar and the company ‘Naked Juice’ based in the United States for 150-million-dollar, is going to keep a stake of 39 percent in the new joint venture and it is also going to have some exclusive distribution rights for the brand in the United States.

Ramon Laguarta, chief executive officer of Pepsico said, this sale is going to be responsible for giving the company ‘Pepsico’, the funds for the purpose of developing and growing the portfolio of the company, which is mainly focusing on the healthy snacks and beverages including zero calories.

Stephen Rannekleiv, food and beverage analyst of Rabobank said, the companies like Pepsico are now finding it more difficult for the purpose of providing some effective marketing support behind an infinite number of the brands that are mainly competing with each other for some similar brands.

This deal with Pepsico has been one of the many investments, the company PAI has been making over the past few years, and the juice businesses have been successful in making around 3-billion-dollars in the total revenue in 2020 for the company Pepsico.
