The company ‘Biocon Biologics’ announced, Adagio Therapeutics based in the United States has granted an exclusive license to Biocon Biologics for the purpose of manufacturing and commercializing an antibody treatment, which is going to be based on ADG20 for the Indian Market and several other selected emerging markets.
The ADG20 is a novel monoclonal antibody, that is responsible in targeting the increased protein of the novel corona virus and also the other related corona viruses, has currently been in the global development by Adagio Therapeutics as a single agent for the purpose of both the prevention and treatment of the novel corona virus disease along with its variants.
The initial data has been indicating that, the ADG20, which is the leading clinical development candidate of Adagio Therapeutics can possibly be responsible in providing both durable and rapid protection against the novel corona virus up to one year, and this can possibly make ADG20 an ideal agent for preventing the infections along with decreasing the novel corona virus related deaths and hospitalizations significantly.
