The automobile company ‘Nissan’ has announced the plans for creating around 400 jobs at the company’s car plant in the region of Sunderland, United Kingdom, weeks after the company has promised for making an investment of 1 billion pounds in the factory.
The company ‘Nissan’, that overtook Jaguar and Land Rover for becoming the biggest carmaker in United Kingdom during 2020, said that, it had been looking for new staff for building a new electric vehicle along with the car models including the Qashqai, Juke and also the electric Leaf.
Kwasi Kwarteng, business secretary said, Nissan is not only staying put, but they are also doubling down, and the development of the plant has also been forming the part of the plans for the purpose of creating around 6,000 new jobs in the factory of Nissan at Sunderland and also among the suppliers of the company, under a blueprint, which had been announced by the company as it is investing 1 billion pounds for the purpose of developing a manufacturing hup of the electric vehicle .
The plans of the company are mainly including a Gigafactory, which is an electric battery plant built by Nissan’s partner Envision, a battery recycling plant along with the production of the new all-electric car model. The investment has also been underpinned by the promise of 100 million pounds in the state funding, and the company has also announced a number of investments of United Kingdom since the arrangements of Brexit have become clear, which is also including a spend of 400 million pounds on building the new Qashqai.
