Eni Acquires Renewable Energy Projects in Spain

Eni, an energy company based in Rome, Italy has announced that, it is going to acquire a large amount of the renewable energy projects in the region of Spain, and the company Eni is going to be working with Azora on the deal, and the price of the acquisition has not been disclosed currently.

The company Eni has also been listed in the fortune 500 in 2020, and now it is all set for acquiring around 1200 megawatts of the Spanish wind energy and solar energy for the company Azora, which is a private equity company based in the region of Madrid, and the portfolio has also been including four wind energy farms including three operational and one under construction along with five solar energy projects, which are at the critical development stages.

Claudio Descalzi, chief executive of Eni said, this operation is going to be allowing them to increase their power generation capacity of the company along with the immediate effect, in the compliance with their planned targets, and at the same time for reinforcing their prospects of growth through a pipeline of the solar energy projects in a strategic market like Spain.

He also said, the sites of the energy projects are mainly located in different regions of Spain, and the allocated wind energy farms are going to produce a total of 230 megawatts of energy and the solar energy projects are also going to be responsible for 1 GW of energy. Although, this has not been a simple transaction of only one way.
